Title: Hancock Kapowsin Hoof Rot
Post by: Duckslayer89 on November 06, 2021, 06:24:32 PM
My brother was up near the old gate on the south side taking his kids for a drive and saw a cow limping bad. She had a calf with her. He told me about it and he wasn’t aware of hoof rot and was surprised when I told him. Has anyone else seen that in there yet? I see a lot of elk and haven’t seen it yet but didn’t get the permit last year. Anyways are we suppose to report that?

We saw quite a few elk with it last year. Haven’t seen much of it this year but with being locked out for so long this year we didn’t have the opportunity to spend a lot of time in there. Buddy found a bull on a side road that was kicking his last kick that had it 2 years ago.

Damn that’s sad. I have to say I have seen less elk this year than two years ago when I last had the pass. But like you said I didn’t spend as much time in there this year. Then they have the nerve to write mass emails about how we need to act better as permit holders because a few guys went in earlier than suppose to. But we are locked out for months. No money back.
