caught this thing saturday in the pouring rain within the first 35yds of trolling. Never seen anything like it. Must of been on roids or something.
-
:yike: That thing is a porker!
-
female full of eggs.
-
Yep, surprise they didn't start squirting out on you.
-
Eggs? Don't trout spawn in the fall?
-
not rainbows
-
there werent any eggs in it when i gutted it. Just a bunch of nasty liquid came gushing out of it. it was gross. the guts didn't look very good either. I normally throw trout back but my dad wanted to smoke it. I think he should use it for crab bait. The only trout i keep nowadays are the sea-run blueback that run up the Kah. they are a blast to catch.

are they legal to keep?
-

-
whats the kah?
-
wishkah river in aberdeen........where kurt cobain used to live before he shot himself.
-
Jesus, i think your fish needs a total gym.
-
HAHA......I think I need one!!! :P
-
That looks like a triploid trout. Hybrid trout that only eat and don't spawn. They usually taste very good, at least the ones I catch at Rufus Wood do. They have an extremely high fat content.
-
i thought about that but his fins are in real good shape and he has an adipose fin, which doesn't mean much i guess. could be a holdover triploid. trip's fins get beat up when they are in net pens or hatchery ponds.
-
bass trout hybrid? :chuckle:
nice looking fish man
-
Nice fish! looks like a trploid to me :twocents:
-
I'd guess triploid as well.
Nice Fish!!

What's a sea-run blueback? Not a sea-run cuttthroat?
Nice rainbow! Did it have much fight for a heavy weight?
