Title: Winter coyotes?
Post by: Parasite on November 23, 2021, 06:11:05 AM
Thinking about a trip back to Kansas for a 3-day weekend to hunt coyotes. Probably the most coyotes I've ever seen were in that state. Any months you guys recommend in particular? just getting into it and if I recall correctly ... February is breeding season and they get vocal.

Get with a producer that calves early, oh, and bring your tire chains.  Feb in Kansas can be a challenge

I lived in Kansas for 3 years, so I know what it's like. Was going to get into coyote hunting there but then I moved away. But yes, that clay is like driving on snot. Very slippery.

If your looking to just killing them any month will do.

If your thinking about making some money on the pelts November into December is the best after that their not worth shooting for money.
