Title: Where can you find historical data for Special Apps?
Post by: Dansk on May 04, 2009, 10:07:09 PM
I've always used the Harvest Reports to get prior years' draw and success rates... but you have to go through all the links and web-pages one year, one species, one weapon at a time- serious PITA.  :bash: Huntin' Fool does it for Sheep/Goats/Moose for Wa, but not Deer.

Anyone know where I can get all years deer app and harvest data in one file, or if the department has something that shows historical trends?  (or maybe Eastman's MIS?)   :dunno:

Sounds like you have a marketable idea for a website!  Wish I had the ingenuity!  Bet you could make some profit and learn something in the process.

Thats the data I'm after but it's pdf and in separate files... trying to find it all in one flat file like excel, or access- even word, etc.  Can't do much with pdf.  Montana has thiers in Excel, so you can look at trends over time for specific areas very easily.  Looking like I'm SOL on this one.  I might try calling the dept on monday and see if they could send me something.
