Title: Ammo prices coming down?
Post by: Slider on May 05, 2009, 07:16:12 PM
I received info from an ammo dealer that the prices should come down in 2-3 weeks!!! I hope it's true. But he said don't buy any ammo right now just wait a little bit. Thought I would pass it along!!!  ;)

Bi-mart was empty yesterday here in Yakima.  Hammers had lots.

No worries over Slider, there is non to be had anyway. Someone on here said they saw pallets at Sportsmans or Sportco yesterday, I went to both today and the shelves are still empty.

I can't find anything here except shotgun and some rifle stuff. No 45's, 223, 380 or any defense rounds for that matter, for over a month now? And I'm checking a few stores every other day!

there's a gun shop in issaquah that had ammo by the case sitting on the floor for sale the other day. i didn't pay attention to the price or caliber, and i would assume it was mostly black gun stuff and pistol stuff...but they had lots of ammo.
pm and i will share the location if anyone is interested.

It would be nice but I don't by it, I think the most popular ammo, 9mm, .45, .223 ect, are going to be hard to get and expensive for quite some time. Primers are the same. Talked to a Federal rep and was told you would be lucky to find primers before the fall.

The gun shop I hang out at said the same thing today.....he thinks this ammo crisis is almost over...I always find ammo for my gun on his shelves so it hasn't been an issue.....

I was in Sunbirds in Chehalis again yesterday. They have a good selection of rifle and shotgun ammunition. I didn't check the handgun stuff. They are also well stocked with powder but not much in the way of bullets. And, of course, no primers. I didn't notice any price reduction in any of the product.

Sportsman's has jacked up the prices on some of there cases so I didnt buy any today...hoping that the prices are going to come down a little hell 10% would be great.

I contemplating getting a storage unit for my stash......

I haven't got 257 WBY dies yet so I stopped by SW in Lacey to get some. The didn't have any so I walked over to the loaded ammo and looked at the factory 257WBY ammo.  Wby. is really fooking proud of their ammo $67. a box of 20. I'll wait until I find some reloading dies.
Other then a few various wby chamberings, there wasnt *censored* on the ammo shelf, I'm curios to see if the prices will go up when they finally get some stock of their shelves.
