Wondering if anyone on here has one yet? Ordered out a 2.0 awd with the tow package to replace the wife's commuter car. Can order without commitment to buy until delivery. Not really an off road rig, but with the tow package can tow 4,000 lbs,-good to tow my boat or small trailer. Looking for something with a little better mileage than my big truck. Like to get an opinion from someone in the area if possible

I’ve seen a few and sat in one. They’re very tiny fyi. I’ve talked to one owner who loves his.

I was curious about the Hyundai Santa Cruse?
I rented a all-Wheel drive Santa Fe, and was mildly impressed with how it handled going over the pass in blizzard conditions.
They sure have came a long way.

Well, finally took delivery of mine this past week. It replaces my wife's CRV and so far we are quite impressed. We got the 2.0 eco boost with all wheel drive and the tow package. Won't be doing any hard off roading with it, keeping the 4wd F-150.for that. Will be using for light hauls, like my boat and small travel trailer, to take the heat off the bigger truck. Getting 28mpg so far and still figuring out all the assorted tricks on it. Wife likes it, and gives us more versatility than the crv did.

We were looking at one of those also.
None of the dealers had any to sell or even test drive.
Were told the only ones the dealers saw were customer ordered units.
The ones that they did have for sale were one that the customers backed out of.
And of course the price was grossly inflated.
5-15 over MSRP !
Curious how it tows.
We want to use it to tow a 2000 lb tent trailer.
Have a 94 Wrangler now but its not well suited to the task.

Haven't tried towing with it yet, but judging from its road preformance I think it will do fine. Rated tow is 4000 lbs.Wehave a 2600 lbs small air stream we will be towing soon. Sofar it's surprised us how responsive it is. Much more zippy than we really expected. Ordered Nov 28 last year and just received last week

All that stuff you were told is generally true at all the Ford dealerships. Maverick was so popular and so far behind, Ford shut down the ability to order them, among other vehicles.

Couple of dealers told us they'd call us when they got one in to test drive when we first looked and they did. Might not be a hybrid though.
-
Baldopepper, is yours a hybrid?

no, we have the 2.0 ecoboost because we wanted awd and that's not available on the hybrid.
-
Makes sense, we have a '14 Escape with the eco-boost, I've always been a little disappointed in the 25 mpg we get in it.

Towing is hard on any vechile don't care what the spec 's say. After replacing transmission and towing under specs from a different vechile I have then forward always added or bought vechiles with tranny coolers. Enjoy your new truck and Merry Christmas

May consider adding a tranny temp gauge if it does not have one. Anything I am going to tow with gets one. Otherwise, you are flying blind

Maverick tow package comes with transmission oil cooler, but no temp gauge like my F150 does. Just looking to tow my 16' aluminum boat 3 miles to the lake and 2400 lbs airstream base camp trailer on shorter trips. Will use the bigger truck for heavier or longer hauls. Big point was that I could buy 2 Mavericks for the price of a replacement new F 150

FWIW - Check out UltraGauge for the ability to pull all/most of the OBDII/CAN info on the vehicles comm bus, including Trans Temp.
