Thinking about giving ice fishing a go this year, what are some good place on the east side, preferably the south east, as I am in the Tri cities.

https://wdfw.wa.gov/fishing/basics/ice-fishing#lakes
scroll down and click the brown bar to expand the lakes by counties that are available to ice fish. You have a lot of good options

I appreciate it. Is there a site that shows ice conditions? I’ve been looking but can’t seem to find anything good.

I'll ask here
if that don't work I call the WDFW region office, if they don't know, I call the USFS Ranger dist for that area, also call any lodges or bait shops in the area too

I recall my first time ice fishing. Early '90s on Elevenmile reservoir in Colorado. Wind had blown all the snow off the lake and we were left with 10" of crystal clear ice. You could probably drive a train across that thing, but how freaky to walk out there looking down at black abyss. Watching everyone else got me into kokanee out deep and some great pike and rainbows in shallow. I got hooked.

When that happened on Winnebago in WI, we'd skate for miles. And then come back and still manage to run over a couple of my grandpa's lines. The only reason he brought us kids along was to catch more walleyes.
