Title: Fish Cameras at the Dams, What Happened?
Post by: castie2504 on March 21, 2022, 07:33:01 AM
Whatever happened to the fish cameras at the counting stations on the dams? Loved watching the springers, steelhead, and all the other fish make there way up river. The live feed was something I looked forward to checking out every spring.

They went away years ago. Probably due to people watching in the late evening seeing the window full of fish and doubting the counts.

From what I heard, they went away because they were too popular.  Makes no sense.  :dunno:

Damn shame, Whatever the reason. I used to watch those cameras every chance I could when Uncle Sam had me away from the PNW.

Can still get the counts every day, was told at Lower Monumental after 9/11 it is all about security
