Title: Choke question
Post by: Sakko300wsm on April 11, 2022, 05:44:12 PM: New shotgun - Beretta Extreme plus. Comes with multiple chokes ( I do not have a designated turkey choke for this shotgun)
So wondering what the best factory choke to use?
Shooting Winchester double X 3.5” turkey, 2 oz , 5 shot, 12 g

Post by: Farmer72 on April 11, 2022, 05:51:47 PM: Use the tightest choke you have which is probably a full. Then pattern it to see how it works at 40 yds. If it is good you can pattern it farther to see what you limit is. If you were closer or coming by me I would let you use my Beretta extra full or my XX ported comp-n-choke.

I run the Carlson longbeard xr with Winchester Longbeard XR #4 and have smacked birds at 45 yds. I’m still on my first box of shells.

That’sa long haul to curlew from lynden. Probably faster to go through Canada!

Ya they might- I will check with the guys. It is a long haul - I bought some property over there and no people compared to this *censored* hole haha
