Myself and a few buddies are archery hunting Oregon this year and it’s the first time any of us will be hunting that state. Just kinda reaching out for some good areas to start looking. We’re thinking anywhere from tillamook to coos bay but that’s a very big area. Anything helps
Feel free to dm me if
Thanks in advance!

step one. find elk habitat in the areas you have a tag for.
step two. start hunting elk.
sorry to sound like a dip but its really easier then people think. elk and deer are all over. you just have to find them. your first year or 2 is probably not going to be very successful, but thats hunting.
odfw has harvest reports you can look at. i would also pay attention to the travel management stuff. some roads are open all year round. some roads close in august. some roads are never open and as far as i know its up to the you to know what roads are open and closed at what time.
