Have seen some studs in there. You'll enjoy it :)

Can't give much of a snow report past Saturday evening but I drove thru alot of it with my Forester with no issues....I saw a heavy 4x4 and a decent 5x6 (not heavy, kinda spindly but wide) duking it out, if you have onx pm me your number and i'll text you the pin.

You should have a great hunt!! I'd be very optimistic!!
-
My guess would be 8 to 10 inches, but it’s sun and 42 in the Wenas at the moment, so who knows in any short order.
-
im trying. i tend to be a very pessimistic person. lol. im getting excited though.

Native pressure has been unrelenting, but this storm was one of the best things that could have happened for you.
-
ya i saw that when i went scouting.. taking some huge bulls out of the game reserve.

As of about 10:30 yesterday morning colockum pass had about 6" of snow and dissipated quickly when doing in elevation.
-
Can't wait to see how this turns out, this storm is setting up all the late tag holders up very well.
-
I've got my uncle up there right now with the tag. 6 to 7 inches on the ground and snowing lightly. He's solo right now until later in the week.

Best advise pack two or three 2x4 with nails sticking out and plant on any closed road you plan to hike out and hunt. Got pretty frustrating to hike a mile down a closed ridge road and have the 3/4 ton white ford or red yota drive past you.

They drove every close road and even open ridges with no roads last year during late season.

I’m headed up Friday thru the following week. I wanted to let the rut really get going and to let the deer settle down after the elk hunters left. I did some scouting this summer. The East side was a fire pit, I don’t know if the snow will push them down into the area near the Columbia River. We will see. If any of you are up in the area and need some assistance , let me know. If any of you are Chukar hunters, hit me up, ran into a lot late October.

I’m doing the same thing. I’m so excited though I’ve already checked out at work mentally. I really should just call in sick and leave now.
