Was able to make it out today on the water by seven. Caught the first trout within 10 minutes. Two kokes and then another trout and missed several. My trout was 19 1/4 my buddies was 19 3/4 cut orange

Bummer, do you think you were fishing deep enough to get down to the kokes? I’m not sure how deep they are right now but my guess would be atleast 40’

Ya get deeper next time and look up some bait recipes. You should catch a lot more kokes.

Wait, I thought the tiger muskies eat everything in sight? Haha, that’s what the misinformed muskie natzis say anyway. Good eating right there, nice job!

I disagree with you Bigbuck. The mid 90's in Merwin was a great fishery for Kok's. Since the introduction in 95', the fishing has went down hill. Not saying it was all from the Tigers but i do feel they had an impact because there was a stretch when you wouldn't catch a squaw. To me, that means there eating something else....
Still fun to get out and chase them but we use to limit out in an hour with solid fish(16"+) and throw little ones back.
