took a yote saturday evening. Had some friends over sitting around the fire pit and i looked out in the field and saw this really smart coyote walking through the 1.5' tall grass..dumb move :P. Since my 204 hasn't been sighted in since i put the new scope on it i had to use the trusty old tikka t3 lite 270wsm and needless to say I dusted him at 240yds. he dropped/blew up in his tracks. nastiest, dirtiest, and had hair worn off in all sorts of places...only had hair on the back half of his tail......maybe i put him out of his misery. he also had a fresh cut on his face like he had been fightin with something.

Of course he was fighting with the roadrunner.
Sounds like you did him a favor.
