I have heard that the best thing is baby ducks, just stick a medium sized treble hook in it's tail and let it swim around near the weeded areas along the shore !!
No DON'T do that, I was kidding however when I was on a northern Minnesota Boundary waters canoe trip I seen a mother duck and 3 ducklings cruising along the shore and then there was a great splash and commotion and then there were only 2 ducklings with mama !!!
Best thing I have used for muskys is a "Johnson Spoon" with a red pork rind trailer and just case into the shallows and retrive slowly !!

Bowhunter there are many ways to fish them. Large spinners, suicks, rapalas, I can go on and on. What are you wanting to know specific?I was just curious what lures seem work the best, what depth of water is the best to find them in, what pound test should be used and do you need to use wire leaders?Thanks

I got bit by one in Lake Vermillion up there in MN. They hurt.

I use anywheres from 17 -25 pound trilene. I always use a steel leader most muskies will follow and hit from behind, I only use a 6-9 inch leader. I see a lot of people with 24-36 inch leaders way overkill in my opinion.
Water depth any level
i have got them in 2 feet casting and 20 feet trollng. Look for some flats with dropoffs and you will do fine.
Lures the bigger the better

Want to fish Merwin , I have not fished that one yet
And my thought process on big baits = big fish. I have caught quite a few muskies on smaller plugs when fishing for bass, but I have never used small lures when I am targeting tigers.
