Title: Vantage Fire
Post by: salish on August 20, 2022, 09:12:22 AM
Does anyone have an idea how much damage to chukar and quail habitat was done by the Vantage fire earlier this month? I like to hunt chukar in the Quilomene area, Whiskey Dick, Brushy Creek, etc. The area is so vast I know there will always be a place to hunt, but I'm just curious. Thanks.

Here’s a look at the limits of the fire, as provided by OnX.

Holy crap, that was huge and burned right up to the Wind Farm. That's a lot more significant than I thought it was. I sure hope there will be some birds up there. Thank you.

That's just a outline of the fire perimeter.  There are alot of pockets and places inside the red that didn't burn
