Not the bear I should be following huh
-
Pad about the size of a can of Copenhagen
-
Thinking size, or black versus grizz?
-
You need to lay your sidearm in the mud for a reference.
-
With those claws, it kinda looks grizz.
-
Mud will do that, Blackie
-
Looks like a black to me, the toe pads are arcing and even though I can't make out the far left one it seems more black than griz. Main pad looks more black too, griz are much wider than they are tall and this one looks nearly as tall as it is wide.
-
I've seen a couple big black bear in the neighborhood this year. And too many cats.
-
I wasn't sure if it might be a grizz cub, I've never seen grizz cub tracks before :dunno:
The tracks were small, cub size
There's supposed to be a grizz in this drainage I was in, found out afterwards, but there's blacks too
So I wasn't 100% on type of bear
The pad shape says blackie though
