Title: How many time have you been drawn for a permit?
Post by: Elkpiss on May 20, 2009, 08:22:36 AM: Just curious how many times people have been drawn for a permit. I have drawn once in 14 years of applying, and the rest of my family has never drawn chit.. Just curious how many times and what units? :dunno:

Post by: bucklucky on May 20, 2009, 08:51:20 AM: I actually drew twice but the first time my poits got rienstated because of fire danger and no acces into the Toutle, I had 6 points then and we got drawn as Partners, me and the wife, we actually had 5 points when we drew, she had 2 less than me. Sure glad I didnt get to hunt that tag :chuckle: Of course I had 12 points and drew last year. None of my family ever drew bull permits, my uncle died trying. A few cow tags , 3 for my dad and a coupe for my uncle.

The wife has drawn 2 doe tags and 3 late buck permits! 2 elk permits and a moose permit!!!

I have drawn 2 doe permits 2 late buck permits and 1 bull elk permit.

For me twice in WA ~ one Deer and one Bull Elk
once in Oregon ~ Whitetail Deer

Then don't know if this is also what you are looking for but once in WA for multi-season and three times in Montana for general combo.

And Yes Mr. and Mrs. Finnman are lucky SOB's!!! :chuckle:

drawn twice in oregon. youth hunt. parents made me forgo the second one. :bash:

I think i was up to 3 elk points 3 deer points and 2 antelope points in oregon but i think i loose them this year. if you dont put in for two years they drop them i believe.

one snoqualmie doe tag...didnt SEE a deer....live one that is...eventually found 11 cougar kills.

I put in for a couple of bull tags this year with my 4th choice a cow tag..hoping to maybe get lucky and put some meat in the freezer. Deer on the other hand...this is my 10th season applying! :P Maybe this year

Remember when you gave up the first 2 days of general elk to even apply? Cut down the number of applicants.......and money to the state. They figured it out

It was a spike/cow tag. As for deer I've been drawn for three doe tags, never a buck tag. I also drew a controlled hunt buck tag in Idaho once.

And i was really just curious about Washington Elk Tags getting selected for, but it is interseting to here about all tags in the state.. I guess just dont bank on getting drawn or you will be >:( every year!! But until they are posted all of can :drool: :drool:.. and just dream about the big one!! :tree1:!!

Had east oakanogan doe tags a couple times and sherman doe tags, also goose prarie any bull tag once a bethel cow tag, winston cow tag etc....! hoping for a moose this year but ain't we all !!! :rolleyes:

Wound up filling it on a so-so 3X3 mulie, so probably wasn't worth the $$. Still, it was nice to have it in my pocket during archery elk season. Passed up a couple of legal bucks while elk hunting.

I did draw a multi-season deer this year. It looks out of place with all the NOT SELECTED deer, elk, goat, moose, bear, sheep, turkey, multi-season elk and prior multi-season deer.
This should make some of you feel better that have drawn recently.
But I got to thinking of all the money I have spent applying :yike:
There is still this year!!!!
