Well I've been hearing all the bragn seen all the pictures , still didn't believe it, but hey ! A free invite is a free invite !!!!! Went down to the piece of the mighty. Columbia that's right by Othello to see what all the crap about this salmon thing there oct 1st to the 15th I believe ,fre food free beer , free place to stay , but I went anyways ,I didn't even have to bring a freeeeekn pole !!! I got to the fairgrounds there , that's where these guys get free rv hookups for fish , first question I got was , are you a morning person ? Well that would mean I've taken value in wasting time , on things like sleeping. But I replied yes , I can wake u up when ever you would like me to , so I passed on out in the back of the trusty suburu forester , we got up as late as 515am , first stop the quicky mart , that's evedently just for the Mexican crop slaves down there , stupid broad could figure out what sauce for the chicken was , then I asked for a bag of ice , she quickly put my $20 bill in my bag of chicken and asked not to hurt her ,least that's what I got out of it ,we got to the boat launch a few minutes later and the first thing I see is a line of fools looking like there about to be executed ! Course I had to go see if I could join in this gathering out in the middle of nowhere at 6am , well I was right they were there to excicuted !!!! From the lives they once new , after they paid some clown in a flash dance get up $250 a person to stand , not sit , in his boat for the day , FREEKN hillariouse watching these dudes travel through the scab land like slaves to a crop , with halogen head lamps on ,as they treked down the bank to where they can meet up with the local crook with a boat and meet stuff painted all over his truck , his boat , and himself pretty looking young man if you ask him I geuss ,.but anyways I was soon informed by our captain that him and his friend are to fat to climb the huge hill to get the truck at the end of the day , so I've been elected boat launch engineer , and I need to do it now so they can see if I'm capable , hate to see what happens if I fail ,,,,,, but just so happens I'm a self proclaimed professional at the boat launch , well unless the ambulance is blocking the dam thing , anyways again ,,,I launched the boat parked the truck , hiked back down to the shore and hopped in , we anchord off in the main current area of the confluence , dropped the down riggers and we are fishing !!! About a hour later my pole is buried into the back of the boat and it's fish on ! It was like reeling in steel ! FINNALLY,! I got him to the net ! O. M. G. !!! 34" , 19lbs of meat flesh !! , Come to find out , for some ancient reason there isn't supposed to be any bananas brought into a boat , I broke that rule but still got the biggest fish of the day , wow.!! A huge fish , hillariouse idiots and a great day on the water and they would not take a dime from me , I tried , all I can say,,, and I have several times since , is thank you SOOOOO very much guys !! And wow talk about some good eatn HOLEY !!!!!

Fish on! Not sure about the $20 in the bag of chicken but sounds like a shizackly awesome day.

Bobs Korner has a big flag and big prices.
We used to stop there on the way home from potholes so dad could get fried chicken gizzards.

First time I went on a salmon trip I didn’t know about the banana rule. I was the only guy to catch a fish too! I don’t bring bananas anymore. Don’t want to get thrown over board.

I tried to post a picture , evidently I'm still brain dead when I comes toyoogling on the googler , one part of the day I didn't mention , was , we were anchord next to last year's catch derby winner for fish n feathers , this guy's wife and him got 37 salmon in four days ! This guy and his wife limited on there secret sauce in two hours , then proceeded to play the catch and release deal on the sturgeon there , 15 minutes of his bait on the bottom and BOOOOOM !!!! HE Battled it for a few minutes and then I saw the line go flat and yep !! A 7 foot dinosaur came out of the water 15 feet from our boat ! I'm still not over it ! Unbelievable !! It took about a half hour to get it next to his boat , he said thanks moma and let her go , wow freeeeekn huge fish !
