Kind of going off bones post of photo of the year, let's see those photos of the ones who really do all the work in the field. Sitting in front of the fire place after an evening hunt last night letting "Bear" warm up, reminiscing of the hunts gone by. Truly a man's best friend! Hes 12/13 and probably wont have another full season in him.

Fantastic idea! Nice!
-
Goose, God rest his soul was the best dog I ever had and probably ever will have. He was a lean mean 105lb swimming machine.
-
Tucker’s last trip in the field, shot a lot of birds over that dog.
-
This is Holly. She will be 9 in a couple of weeks.
-
Duke! One hell of a dog
-
My two favorite buddies on our best hunt last season. Panz just turned 8 and has been busy and impressive this season. My daughter is at college now. Maybe a holiday trip could happen.
-
This is Copper. He is a great hunting dog.
-
Buck, he is a little more grey in the face these days, but is still hell on birds. Best dog a guy could ask for!

What a great bunch of pics!

Chester. Helluva duck dog and companion. Never quit. Never left my side. Lost him last summer to cancer.
-
The one and only Chloe dog. She's retired now, spends a lot of time in front of the fire place. She is 13.5, she's had a long life. I fear this may be her last winter.

Here’s Maisey. She was just shy of 2 yrs old here.
-
Boone on his last hunt. He was a duck dog at heart but loved to chase quail too. Don’t have any good duck pics with him.
-
I have two: one of Maggie on her last trip a couple days before she died last November and one of Haley when we got home after her first duck trip this year.
-
I don’t know why it made the picture upside down & I can’t figure out how to fix it.

This is a Pic of my old Man Chief. He got 12 seasons of hunting in. Thought I was gonna have to retire him at 9 from an injury. at 12.5 he got an unrecoverable injury but got to hunt opening weekend. That guy could withstand the cold and was one hell of a guard dog. He greeted every crackhead with a growl and teeth. they all figured out to go some place else. I would take him on the road with me and let him out of the truck. Id walk into the customers place for 30 min and he either sat by the door I walked in, or was under the driver side door of the truck. I'm gonna miss that old boy!

First was Tess. My first bird dog I trained. She passed at 12.
Than came Pearl , a better dog than I deserve. Like to get after any bird. She is 9 now and likely my last bird dog. At 71 I don’t think I have another one in me.
She came from Ireland Farms.
Raised both from pups and trained myself.

Favorite thread of the year!

Boone out scouting mule deer with me on his 11th birthday

This is beau

This is one of my favorites from my last one! Her retrieving two ducks at once!
She was a great hunting partner. Unfortunately I lost her at at the young age of 7 from cancer. Having to put her down was one of the hardest experiences of my life.

RIP Sparky 95 lbs of love and fun

Deep Waters is currently 3 years old. He has been a steadfast companion and is definitely an American lab if you know what I mean. We're talking high drive, unneutered, anticommunist with good family values. :chuckle:
-
Old Max loved grouse hunting. 14 great years worth of adventures with him. Lost him last month.
-
Jack, Ole and the newest addition Sven. All three are Ireland Farms Labs.

All these are awesome, have a soft spot for goldens with my first dog being a golden!
