Title: Sea Duck legal hunting areas
Post by: freeflyr on November 19, 2022, 02:41:34 PM
Hey all,

New here and looking at going on a Sea Duck hunt in the Hood Canal. From the research I've done so far it seems that I should be good to go hunting from a boat anywhere on the canal as long as the engine is not running. However, I haven't been able to find anything that outright confirms this and I have never talked to anyone who has been on a hunt out there. I've seen tons of Scoters out on the canal the past few weeks so it seems like a great opportunity. Anyone ever done this before or know if there are any restrictions? This would be in the Seabeck/Quilcene/Dosewallips area.

Thanks!

OnX. Stay out of city boundaries, tribal, and national park,  then shoot away.

Must have authorization card from WDFW to hunt sea ducks
