Title: Airgun takes backyard coyote
Post by: broadhead on November 26, 2022, 06:45:59 PM
Just got back from the south. Nailed this on Thanksgiving morning before first light.

Airgun was shooting 38.5 grain projectile at 910fps.

Range was about 15-20 yards.

Passed through to behind the neck. Far back. Definitely overkill at short range.

That's a 25 caliber rifle made in Sweden. Brand and mod is FX Impact M3.  I have tuned it to 970 fps in the past. Capable of a bit more. Bullet is 38.5 grains made by Nielsen Specialty Ammo.

That rifle is modular. Takes multiple calibers up to. 35 which can take a deer in one blow, technically. Never done that, prefer my bow

Nice job. And nice air rifle.  FX Impact M3's aren't cheap!

I have an Umarex Gauntlet .25 cal. I haven't taken any coyotes with mine....yet.
