Planning on doing some coyote hunting this winter and figure I might as well skin em to sell if the hide is quality and it’s not a huge burden. Could use the practice and have plenty of space in my freezer. What all do I need to keep on the hide regarding paws, head, tail, etc? Who buys em and how should I prep them to freeze?

Best thing to do is find a buyer first and ask them how they want them. If just shipping them to a fur sale case them. Just ring them right above the upper pads on the front and back legs.
Choose your bullets carefully big holes are hard to fix and get top dollar pelts out of.

Any buyers to recommend? I feel like I've read about a guy that travels through WA at some point that buys but can't find the post. Quick google search brings up Promise Land Tannery in Okanogan and Cascade Bio Supply in Pateros. Also thought I heard about a guy in Ephrata. Could use an excuse to head towards any of those three towns!
I'll be using .223 Sierra TMK's. Not particularly interested in this being a money making venture of any sorts, just hoping to create some value out of shooting them.

I knew a guy in Ritzville that took them whole and gave you fifteen bucks or something like that. Haven't talked to him in a few yrs though. Don't know if he does it anymore or is even around still. PM me if you want his number.

At $10-$40 it is a fast way backwards unless it is one for yourself

I encourage you to learn how to put up coyotes. It’s just I don’t type fast enough to put out a tutorial.
Members of the WSTA are putting on a trapping workshop today, (Saturday). Somewhere there on the coast. They will be doing handson skinning demos.
There is a post about it on the trapping forum. Don’t worry about pre registering, just call the number and go.

YouTube case skinning a coyote. Then google fleshing a coyote. This might be a good year to learn as they would be bring good money but you could tan them your self or send a few to morels in Idaho and have them tanned for a wall hanger.

The last couple of years they have been averaging right around $100+ for properly put up fur. Certainly worth the time to learn. Not hard at all.

Coon Creek Outdoors on Youtube does some EXCELLENT skinning tutorials for all kinds of animals, including coyotes.
