I didn't wanna derail the King thread but I was looking on another site and saw some pretty impressive bucks that are from Wyoming, Colorado, Nevada etc. I wanted to get a thread going and see if we can pinpoint at least what state these bucks are from. Here goes the first two monsters...
-
Same buck different years?
-
This is sorta conflicting,, because I am friends with the photographers and it’s not really nice to talk about locales.
I know exactly where the deer is from. Hmmmmm. It’s common knowledge but hmmmmm
-
I figured you knew them Bone. I am just curious if others know of these bucks and what other bucks these states hold. Let's just say post up pics of out of state bucks. That's why I said what state, not necessarily an exact unit or valley etc. This buck was supposedly found dead after the rut.
-
I know the guy holding the Wyoming buck (road kill buck in Jackson). Good hunter!
I think the bottom buck in the first post is the buck they call Slingshot?
-
Correct, he was biggest in 2020 I believe
-
It’s a real art form taking photographs where those first two bucks were taken so you don’t get the fences or buildings in the background. :chuckle: Have you ever filmed there Bone?
-
Yes that's correct. I'm not at all familiar with the velvet buck though. Never saw it till my dad sent me the pic. How about these monsters. I feel like Bone is familiar with all of these bucks.
-
No, I have never been there. Too many people and not my thing. I wanted to see that buck you just posted. I think that was 2019. I think he may have been as big as bucknorris. Bill got some amazing photographs of him. That’s slingshot again last year I think.

I appreciate the thread and hope location doesn't matter. Just seeing that such animals exist to admire is

I’m almost certain this is a buck we saw on the refuge after an out of state elk hunt last month. My buddy sent the photo as it was passed on to him—saying same spot, same buck but you know how that goes.
Not quite the monster as those earlier pics but a great buck
Congrats to the photographer for the great image

That is a queer picture…a trans buck??
