Title: LOOK OUT! The Mad Photographer Strikes Again!
Post by: grandpawrichard on May 26, 2009, 04:19:58 PM
I spent part of my day off shooting my bow and the other part shooting photographs. :)
For your enjoyment here are a few photos I took:

Great work, Dick!  Do you use a macro lens?  It looks like you do, especially with that bee image.

Tom,
Thanks for the compliment! As for using a macro lens the answer is no. I have a Canon 17-55 mm. IS f3.5-5.6 lens that I bought on Ebay for $90.  :yike: It has a macro switch on it. I love that little cheap lens because it has such crystal clear and concise focusing optics.  :) Plus it does a great job of focusing at 3 1/2" all the way out to infinity. :)

3 1/2 inches - holy crap!  My 400 will only focus down to 10 feet!  No wonder you're getting close-ups of bees!

Tom,
If you have a 400 mm. Canon L series lens I will trade you straight across for my little 17-55 mm. lens!  :yike: ;) :) That way you can take photos of Bees and I can do animals!  ;) :) :bdid: :chuckle:
