What’s the going rate and does anybody no of anybody that does it?
-
My last one was expensive. I just had one finished and have to go pick it up. Not a large bull and it was $400 down and he said I owe him $650 still. :dunno:

Last time I looked out of curiousity it was about a thousand, so that fits pretty well with LDs quote

What was the time frame for getting done?

This was what I was told when I asked about two years ago

One year, because now your up against all the hides being done for Taxidermy heads and rugs. I dropped mine off at the taxi February 2022 and got a call to come get it last week.

I am about to send in another one next month also. It's a nice wooly black and white Galloway hide.

Had a nice 'chrome tanned' (pricey then!) Bull Elk hide years ago that was so pretty I could not bring myself to use it for anything. My father had no such reservations! Funny story, but it is not cheap to pay for any hide to be done for ya.
Messy and labor intensive. Worth every penny to have someone else do it!
Just had new gutters put up. Same for that!
