Title: Late season cougar help
Post by: Fish_Slayer-95 on January 16, 2023, 12:42:54 PM
Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help with late season cougar hunting. I looked on the fish and wildlife website and noticed the area I wanna hunt(407 and 437) are still open for it. I've never specifically hunted for cougar but have hunted deer and elk for a few years now and figured since it's open why not give it a shot. I was wondering if anyone one here could give any pointers as far as tactics go. Do you try and find tracks/spot and stalk/calling? What do you deem as an area that looks promising to you to go in and hunt for cougars? Any help is greatly appreciated!

if you want to find lions go where the deer and elk are. Find winter range with lots of deer and you will find lions
