Title: Gunsafe Locksmith?
Post by: thinkingman on January 18, 2023, 09:49:21 AM
I have come to possess an American Security 60x30 gunsafe and no one knows the combination.
It's an electronic keypad and I have the serial numbers for the cabinet and lock.
Anyone have a locksmith they could recommend?
I am probably going to sell it when I get it figured out, but want to get it open first.
Thanks.

Roll the dice and sell with without opening it lol.  Any safe company can probably come out and open it for you.

I would sell it unopened if I had a buyer.
I called a couple of locksmiths.
It's $150 for a housecall, $60 if I bring it in.
Both are safe dealers and interested in buying it from me, so that's the route I'm probably going.

Try this before you call a locksmith.  Every electronic lock has a master override combination.  I had a cannon safe which had one of those push button headaches the master combo is 0-0-0-0 and the # button or the # button.  You are only allow 5 try’s per 24 hour period.

Ps  as soon as I got it opened I got rid of the push button and went to old fashion wheel
