Do you think this would be something that would be possible to get approved in Washington?
It’s not a snare . It’s live catching the animals and like they said in the video it is like a leash holding them. Seems like if they made the regulations like Wisconsins and couldn’t set near an entanglement, it would be a great option for catching coyotes.
What would be the negatives that the state or antis would come up with about these ?

By the definition of the RCW they are illegal now. The hurdle is you would have to go to the Legislature to get the law changed so they could be made legal. I have posed your question in the past when we had a little better position. I was told we would need more favorable legislators to have a chance. Unfortunately, things have deteriorated.
No matter the arguments it is not possible.

Bummer, because it seems like a logical exceptible option to fit within their desires of not being lethal for if you caught the wrong target animals. Or not being inhumane since they don’t hurt the animal when caught. They could be released unharmed if needed. Oh well. Thanks for the response bruce

Look up Collarum. It is a similar arrangement but uses a spring device to flip the cable over the animals head and tighten the snare. It can be set up with a bead stop to keep from choking the animal. I have used them in another state for coyotes and it work as advertised. Stay tuned for more restrictions from the state.
