I took my kids out this afternoon and we were walking along an old fire-road when a very nice buck steps out in front of us, he doesn't even know we're there but sees us right away and turns to go back uphill before my little girl can line up on him. we continue on with one kid who can't keep quiet and another who won't keep up, but we're doing good when we hear a shot ring out from up the hill, we go up and see a hunter bent over a buck so climb up to see what he's got and find it's an old friend of the family so we watch him dress it out and help him get it the road and then take a few pics of the buck we "almost got" with the man who did!

So is your daughter encouraged or discouraged now? Hopefully she is encouraged!

she's learned to stay closer that's for sure! I carry her shooting sticks since I didn't want the extra weight of a bipod on her rifle. she's very tired this morning so I'm not sure she'll get up for a last day hunt, she was at an all-night birthday party for her grandmother, non-alcoholic in case you get the idea I'm not a good parent for letting her go.

You are an awesome parent to spend the time with your kids in the brush. No complaints here!
