If a 20 round mag is pinned to only hold 10 rounds, is it still a prosecutorial 20 round magazine in Wa. State?

It is my understanding that it is only illegal to import them not to posses them. So if you purchased before and are grandfathered in your good.

S&W just came out with a new 5.7x28 handgun that Sportsman’s is selling. There are no 10 round mags for it yet, only the 22 round mag it comes with. I’m reading that a gunsmith can pin the mags to 10, but isn’t it “technically” still a 22 round mag? I don’t trust these gun grabbers at all!

If you guys are old enough, you probably remember the 10 round magazines of the AWB days. Most I remember had a simple dimple pressed into the side so the follower couldn't go past it if I remember right.
