Anyone been over lately? How’s the water level and temp?
Any smallmouth action?
It’s going to be warm this weekend so great time to get out and throw some plastic!
Thanks and enjoy if your headed out!

My adult son was out yesterday around the Spokane arm and said there was a lot of debris and a fair amount of current.

The trash boom at the mouth of the kettle river is broken and all the lumber is floating towards Grand Coulee.

KETTLE FALLS, Wash. — The Bureau of Reclamation is asking people to be safe when boating on Kettle River and Lake Roosevelt because of floating debris as a result of a failed log boom.
The Bureau of Reclamation says high river speeds and low reservoir levels at Lake Roosevelt led to a failed log bloom at the mouth of Kettle River, which is 105 miles upstream of the Grand Coulee Dam. They say the pressure from the water flow and debris pushing against the log blooms caused a break in two places.
They say the public will see more debris in the river and reservoir than normal.
Reclamation is repairing the log boom when river speeds decrease and elevation levels at the lake rise, which the Bureau of Reclamation says could take several weeks.
Looking like lower unit repair will be a good place to invest in.

I'll be at Banks targeting walleye Friday evening through Sunday. Have not heard any recent reports but the warm weather should be enough to enjoy being out!

Looking at lake Roosevelt right now near Hunters. Can't see a lot of stuff, but can see 4-5 what appear to be very large logs floating here and there. Suspect there's more small stuff so probably best to be very careful if you go out. Boats launching at both Hunters and Ft Spokane without any trouble. Haven't really talked to anyone fishing real recently , but few days ago.Walleye guys at the launch said it was pretty slow.

Went 2 out of 4 take downs this morning. Landed 2 Roosevelt triploids. 19” & 20”. Very nice fish. Using nightcrawlers. The bite seemed to only last from 9:00-11:00.
Going to try for smallmouth next…..

I fish further down near the Spokane arm. But walleye were just pre-spawn last weekend it seemed like. At least where I was. The smallies are fired up and hitting jerk baits for me.
I'll probably bank fish a little this weekend at Ft. Spokane.
