Title: 450 bushmaster load data
Post by: zwickeyman on June 05, 2023, 06:13:28 AM
I thought I would reach out here and see if any one has load data for the 450 BM. I plan on shooting  between 350gr and 425gr sub sonic and the only powder I have that will work is H110

Any help is appreciated

Can’t help you with subs but 32gr of H110 gives me about 1600fps with a 300gr XTP.  Side benefits are a huge muzzle flash and a pretty good slap.

Try the Hodgdon site

Thanks CP

I looked at Hodgdon and all the rest. Hodgdon has subs with 24" barrel but that give me a good idea where to start with my 16".  Just looking for some real world experience

Finally got the rifle yesterday. While waiting for it I picked up a Scope, Dies, 1 pound of IMR4227, 3 boxes of SubX, 60 ct of Maker TREX and 100 ct SubX

Going to start a couple grains under Hodgdons max and work up. Chrono those and the factory 395gr SubX and see where I get with this little 16" barrel. Want to end up around 1080 FPS with the 395gr SubX and the 425 gr TREX
