Title: Wamapum today
Post by: Badhabit on July 01, 2023, 09:33:57 AM
What a ship show!! High winds, high current and lots of boats getting blown around and lines tangled with other boats. Called it off at 8AM. We.boated 1 king about 15 2 minutes after gettin lines in.

Way to make an effort and at least you have one to show for it. That can be a ship show down there on a day it’s not windy with all those crazy currents tangling lines Not to mention the day with a red flag warning winds. I always loved the big cement blocks they have for your boat to bang into if you’re not quick on to the trailer with all the waves and wake crashing. Definitely no launching by yourself there

If I'm using my boat, I launch on west side of the river

Is this below Wanapum dam, or the pool above?

Below it I believe from the pictures and description. Upper side would be a lot calmer but nobody ever seems to fish it even if that stretch is open. I guess cause the fish aren’t stacked up like below it?
