I lucked out (i think) and drew a cow tag in the Umtanum unit for the Nov. 22 - Dec 8 Season. Super excited. Live in Ellensburg so plan on scouting soon. As usual with the other threads, any useful info is greatly appreciated. Was thinking of targeting drainages that flow from Wenas down to Naches/Nile areas.

Should be a fun hunt.
PM sent.

fun hunt, hope for a little bit of snow, usually get it by then. We usually have a couple tags in our group, stay a week and see lots of elk. IF you have a side by side, you'll cover a ton of ground, have good tires, they snow can be tricky.

That should be a fun hunt. Good luck!
I have permission on some of the private lower land in the Wenas and I suggest to you and anyone else reading this that hunts that area to not trespass. The owners are sick and tired of people hunting their land and screwing up fences and gates. They will be patrolling their land and will call the Sheriff to press charges. :bdid:
When I hunt in there I always seem to find myself hunting trespassers more then elk. I have kicked a few people out of there and they always seem to play stupid, even when there is a fence and posted signs everywhere.

Thanks! And I will have the OnX going. I never intend to trespass and have that handy so if approached we can both see on the same page. Damaging private property be it fencing or gates is wrong privat or public

If you hunt clemans, theres fence all the way along the bottom so you would have to climb an 8 foot fence to tresspass. You will be fine.

Couple more days till the hunt starts. I will be up on Friday and staying through the weekend. Good luck for all the tag holders.
