Any one else get a email from NM to make sure your credit card is still good and has room for license fees?
-
I think I would be calling them and asking if they send emails like that.
-
I also got it. They have already hit my card over a month ago though.
-
Yes, its just a reminder .
-
They tapped my card about a day after it was due.
-
Yep! they should think about that before they try to take the money not after they already have taken it!
-
I don't ever remember getting one of those, but the charge was on my last month's statement, so I know they took it. SHould get results this month, right?
-
I recieved one as well, I immedieteley scrolled through the forum to see if they had posted results!! :chuckle:
-
I believe it will bed the 11th.
-
I got the same e-mail. I got charged the 5 or 9 dollars app fee a while ago but what they want is to be able to hit you with the 800$ deal if you get drawn. If your card doesn't accept the charge they throw your name out and go for the next guy. They are trying to be helpful for us in case we moved or changed cards etc.
-
I was going to call the card company to make sure they do not deny any charges.
-
My group drew a couple years ago in NM. My cousin's credit card was replaced (lost or stolen) before the draw, so the charge wouldn't go through. NMG&F was nice enough to call him about it right after the draw so he could submit a new card and get the tag. Based on the email they're sending, my guess is they aren't so flexible nowadays.
Their site says online results will be available on 6/11. So maybe we'll start getting credit card hits Monday (6/8) or Tuesday (6/9)?
-
I already got a credit card hit, I assumed with pay up front everyone did. :yike: Could I have been drawn......
-
If I draw my sheep tag, I might have to bum a ride down with someone as I don't think the truck will make it.
-
No tag for you bone, it has my name on it already! If you draw I will go but you will have to fly back from AZ or KS.
-
At this point I hope I do not draw. Full hunting schedule already.
-
I got that email today. If I draw this elk tag I may not be married come Christmas... :chuckle:

That's always a risk! Hopefully you'd have a good supply of elk to eat after she takes all your food money! :chuckle:

You are right. I should be proactive and be prepared... So, theoretically, I guess I can survive pretty well for a time with everything that I would take with me to New Mexico for an elk hunt (so when I get kicked out of the house at least they won't find me dead in a park somewhere). Wall tent, check. -30 degree Sleeping bag, check. Propane stove, check. Rifle, check. Knife, check. 5 gallon water cans, check...
... I guess I'll be OK...
-
Bone, did you get hit for the full 800 bucks? And was it just recently or when you applied?

The sheep tag alone is $3200 that they hit you for.

I got hit close to 4 grand. Most of that is sheep.
