Went out to the bait stations from May 21-25. These are my friends sites and he had been bating for almost 2 weeks. I flew in and all the sites were getting hit and they had already shot a little 5 1/2 footer. I was expectecting lots of action. Well that was a mistake. We hunted as hard as we ever have for black bears and didn't see one. Not one bait was hit while I was out there. I couldn't believe it. Enjoy the pics even if there arn't any kill shots

:'( Sure sorry to hear that, it really blows when you have such high expectations and then things don't quite go as planned. Great photos, thanks for sharing.

Yep it sucks when it doesn't quite come out like you have it planned. 3-4 years ago we would have seen tons of bears, but F&G is doing predator control on the black bears over there. Now the black bears near any sort of easy access are shot very quickly. Gone are the days when 3-6 bears come into your bait, oh well it will help the moose hunting.

What a beautiful place. Someday, I'll get up there to hunt, even if only once.
