Don’t have a lot of experience fishing down-riggers out of a boat for salmon…
Anyone here have experience and what are you guys running?

11” Flasher – white is all you need
Hoochie – something in green – 30” leader tied with two 4/0 hooks, put a salted herring strip on the front hook
Drop it down 40 feet at first light and troll with the current 3.0mph or so.
Go 10 feet deeper every half hour as the sun rises.
Look for surface disturbances, birds feeding, fish jumping, tide rips, watch your electronics, adjust accordingly.
Lots of You-tube how-to videos out there. Or, better yet, get out and get experience.

the pinks are thick right now, or at least were a week ago, you drag anything behind the boat at any speed or any depth and you should catch fish, no im not being sarcastic.
That's the truth, I caught them at the surface 10' behind the boat and 100' down, anywhere from 1 mph to 4 mph as well as casting in random directions with any type of lure. Any color, any lure, if you drag a hook through the water you will hook one.
Coho require a bit more knowledge, but when 4+ million fish are coming home the odds are in your favor for sure.
