Title: "Gone Fishin"
Post by: robodad on June 05, 2009, 09:46:08 PM: That's right my son Carter and I got out and went fishin yesterday with a really great guy Steve, you all know as "rainshadow1" and his buddy Mr, Ron and Alex and David (Steve's boys) and had a great time, the weather couldn't have been much better and the water was a mirror so sunscreen was in order, here are a few pics and a short video clip !!

Here is the crew getting settled in for a long boat ride !!

And a few minutes after we left the dock !!

My son was bored as the crew was asleep

and he only had me to talk to and play around with my camera so he took my picture !! (you can see how nice it was in this one !!)

We stopped at Coyote Bank and within a couple minutes I had the first one in the box on ice.

We managed to put a few rockfish in the boat as well but no keeper lingcod this trip, Here is my son with his very first ocean fish he caught all on his own including jigging and setting the hook and reeling in !!

I would say he isn't too impressed :chuckle:

Next is Mr. Ron's turn and I happened to catch a few seconds of video at the end of this battle

I guess all thats left is the cleanup, No wonder my back hurts !!!

I didn't get any pics of the crew's fish but I know they caught some, maybe Steve got a couple and will post em up !!!

Glad you got to come along, wish we'd have had all day to try to find a few more and get over to that better Ling ground when the tide wasn't running 3 knots! Next time! Still, a great day, and I'm glad you and Carter could come. No stink on a guy who drops a jig right on top of a Halibut's head as soon as the boat is pulled outta gear!

I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one (Suprise !!) I think we can fish together and something tells me we will someday. :IBCOOL: Maybe you suck at sturgeon a little less then me now but I am the king of suck luck just ask anyone. and I challange anyone to prove me wrong !! :chuckle:
