Anyone ever head up into the Wilderness Areas and hunt Blackies during the archery season in Nov? If so do any good? See many deer?

Very few years can you find deer in the Wilderness areas I hunt in November.  Actually by late October I've found that most of the deer have moved down into the timber because the Meadows are all froze up and the feed is dead.  I do however hunt the fringes of the high country 3500 - 4000, often in the heavy timber the deer will hang out a lot higher than you would think mainly feeding on the lichen and moss on the trees.  Of course it all really comes down to the weather, take last year into account, we got so much snow my hunting was limited to areas below 2000ft.
