Rowland, Lehmkul and Smith were shocked by just how observant we are and that we are getting involved. It was so fun to sit next to everyone, we were showing text messages back and forth, groaning at antis and their were some times where we laughed. The commentary was hilarious and one commissioner fell asleep. Guys who were in-person know what I'm talking about and it was so funny I had to leave the room before I burst out laughing. It was great, we made history and good things are coming. As I write this, I hope the wolf petition will be denied. We had way better of a showing on Saturday than I expected. I also have a special announcement to make. We will be doing an event with Sportsmen's Alliance on January 11th at Puyallup fairgrounds. This will be a massive event with an auction and silent auction. Expect more details in the coming days. So proud to fight alongside everyone, more great stuff is coming.

The personal stories were excellent! We need to sustain this level of engagement and continue building partnerships. From what I am hearing the Tribes are not supportive of the Conservation Policy.
The tribes should be the first group to form a coalition with. If they see a similar foe, or if they see a similar goal, they can be worked with. I have seen it before.

The challenge there (and I mean it from a place of respect) is that they are sovereign nation co-managers and therefore have a completely different relationship with the commission and the state. A rough comparison is like the board of major coffee companies entering a coalition with a starbucks employee.
What we can do, and should do is build dialogues and relationships- probably personal first. And then be always open and available to support their voices and actions. I'll often defer to Tribes if they provide direction, but until then I think it helps , especially with this commission, to remind them to promote and respect co-management input

That's the great part, she actually can do that exact thing! They just need to bring the hunt back per the biologist recommendation, and people wont have a reason to bring it up!

They werent even notified of it until like 2 weeks ago. And only some of the tribes were notified.
