What are you using for a plastic wrap cutter/dispenser for wrapping meat?
I have used plastic wrap followed by paper and it worked great but always hated dealing with it.
I seen one once that had a commercial type roll with a hot wire attached that would easily cut the film once it was pulled off the roll. I have found a few similar online but they all seem to be for wrapping the foam trays and have the heating pad.

Costco one has a cutter that slides. works fairly good

:yeah:
Works great and a good deal.

I have a commercial one that I run my paper and wrap through at the same time. Pull out what I want for length. Pull up to tear off with a nice clean line and wrap away. Works great. Been considering selling the whole shebang with 1 or 2 large rolls of paper and a large roll of wrap.

Are the Costco ones the cardboard box with a cutter?

Yep, Yellow and blue box.

I use the wrap from the business center that has 3000 ft and is
a few inches wider and called Professional grade. The key to keep your meat from freezer burn
is wrapping tight and use plenty.

Chef supply stores are another good place to get it

I have one of the wrap dispensers from online meant for the foam trays. You don’t have to use the plate warmer so I just use the cutting which works fantastic and allows you to use 24” wrap instead of the 12” from Costco. I wish Costco had the box they have in 24” but I’ve never seen one.
The down side of my setup is the storage as the wrap station is pretty large. Paper rolls and dispensers are simple and cheap.

Heres what I used. The saran wrap is a 4500 ft roll. Cant remember what the paper is. I set the paper up on a 2x6 behind the saran wrap. Run the paper through the saran wrap stand and pull them off together. The cutting edge of the holder has a good spring for tension. The stands have holes so you can mount them to a board or table. Works best that way.

I actually have two of those paper dispensers. I will give that a try.
Yes the size of the machines with the hot pad is what was keeping me
From buying one.

The paper dispenser/cutter cuts the cling wrap? I have one, looks to be the same, the "cutter" bar is designed to basically rip the freezer paper, never would I have thought it would work for cling wrap.

Yes. Cuts both nicely.

I use the Stretch-tite WrapN-snap 7500 dispenser/cutter available on Amazon. It takes the 250,500, and 750 foot rolls of stretch-tite and pretty much any other saran type of wrap. Just load wrap, pull out desired amount of wrap, press down lid and it cuts it off smoothly. I have been using this for around 25 years in a smaller capacity one with never a break down. Purchased this larger capacity 7500 about 7 years ago. And it too works flawlessly! Of course I get the wrap from Costco.

I use the twist tie bread bags.Simple to wrap meat in then wrap with freezer paper.
