Title: Bills in legislature regarding gun rights
Post by: Mt.Beaver on January 16, 2024, 11:21:27 AM
Besides screwing around with our trapping, some of our legislators are pushing bills to mess with our guns.  Look at the bills and see who is sponsoring them and work to get rid of them and the bills.

HB 1178- Elimination of state pre emption law-Would allow local jurisdictions to make up their own laws.  Every city county could have different rules. What a mess

HB 1902- Enhanced purchasing requirements-- Require a permit to purchase a gun plus training &tests

HB 2238  - adds an additional 11% tax on ammunition

HB-2054- Limits gun purchases to one per month

HB-1903- $1000 fine for not reporting stolen guns

HB-2118- Requirements for FFL dealers- 24 hour surveillance. 6 years or records, etc

HB-2121- Rules regarding state disposal of weapons.

These are proposed bills and hopefully won't get very far. contact your reps to let them know your thoughts. Positive or negative

Now how do you suppose we are going to get rid of Liz Berry who is just copying pasting what ever comes out of California when she is voted in by morons in Seattle?

Paid for my silencer the other day and found out I can't sell my AR now, so many new gun laws in this state it's hard to keep up.  Thanks dems, great job in taking part of destroying our constitution.

How did you not know that you couldn't sell your AR.   Did you have your head in a hole the last 2 years.

HB 2118 is going to shut down a lot of small operation gun stores who can't afford or don't want the pressures of compliance to the extreme measures as listed in this bill. Just part of their master plan. Disgusting.

That's an interesting bill ... it's such a gross violation of the constitution and a very dangerous path to go down.  I'm surprised even the Dems are trying it...
Obviously ones right to privacy is diminished while in public...ie being video recorded.
But to force a private business to record people for the benefit of the government is such a blatant disregard for privacy it's disgusting....
This State is a train wreck....

Guess that's why a lot of FFLs I know have moved to Florida or Idaho.

@Mt.Beaver Is there a typo in the last house bill number?  I am finding HB2121 to be related to special education

HB 2121 - 2023-24
Concerning the burden of proof for special education due process hearings.

off gun topic...but look at SB5770.  Reason Number 1,001 to move.

Thank you, my head might be in a hole in the ground, but appreciate your info.  I’ll just change out the barrel to the caliber I was wanting, didn’t realize I could.

You're welcome. I hope you already have the barrel that you want because getting a new one can be problematic thanks to the same RCW.
