I knew I had one for sure that was good and one that I thought might need repairs. It turns out I have three. These were no doubt from my Grandpa as he worked for the forest service back in the 20's or 30s. I'll have to narrow that down. Anyhow I remember growing up and knowing these were the packboards my Dad used. They hung on the wall down by our snowshoes. I always though wow, what uncomfortable things those must be. The last time I remember him packing something out with one was his goat.
anyhow, one for a muley mount, and I am going to put together a trapper on in memory of my grandfather, and I am not sure what I will do with the third, it alone is a momento.

Cool. After reading the description I can't imagine spending the night out there with a 4 foot square of canvas for cover.
