Title: Let’s see your best Washington bull
Post by: go4steelhd on February 04, 2024, 05:52:47 PM: Let’s run a thread on your best Washington Bull. The only time I drew a regular bull tag was the year my son was born. He was due the day before the opener. I spent 5 days of opening week in the hospital with my wife since he did not want to come out:) Three days after he was born I was able to go out for the day. I found a five while I was stalking in on a distance bugle. While quartering that Bull I had a 6x7 walk by at 65 yards.

Post by: Jonathan_S on February 04, 2024, 06:18:30 PM: Only bad things bout this hunt are that the pictures with friends turned out bad and that another dear friend couldn't be there on kill day. Both those things suck but the hunt and preparation will be vivid memories for the rest of my life.

Like a rocky drainage slope in dark timber. Anyone recall that bull? It was neat and kinda unique.

I thought I was “helping” him put down his bull. Much to my surprise we had both bulls down 20 minutes into opening day and a lot of work ahead of us.

Naw. No winners. I grew up around nice bulls - playing with them every September. Taking photos. When I got the footage of this bull, I got very stressed and obviously obsessed. Spent 33 days scouting that summer. My wife and I ended up killing him on the second day of the season. It was an emotional roller coaster and it’s hard to hunt elk now. I’m just a shed hunter for now. Until I can find one of those big typicals. Just got to keep on wondering what’s over the next ridge and it’ll happen eventually right? Thank you guys for the compliments.

I'm 8 branch bulls in past 11 seasons western wa all public modern rifle hunts but nothing massive, all great at keeping freezer stocked!

not really. Ask some of these guys what hunts they have applied for and you will realize why they havent drawn and some like myself have drawn 3 quality tags. Some of these quality bull tags you may go a lifetime not drawing the odds are so bad

I have let a good amount of bulls walk looking for a bigger one, though I upped the degree of difficulty. I've been hunting pure bred Rosie's on the coast/ Olympic Peninsula since 06. Over the counter only.
