Lol me too
-
Dang!
-
I think I read that guy already has the archery wr Rosie too. Doing something right
-
WOWZER!!!
-
They grow some pig Rosie's down there, I photographed the WR archery bull for several years before he was harvested.
-
Oh my :yike:
-
Sounds like the hunter has a few of the big ones.
-
Should have let him grow for another year... :twocents: :chuckle:
-
What a dink, let ‘em grow.
-
Interesting that he’s a guide, but seems to tag the biggest bulls himself!

:yeah: Exactly what I thought. Through the years I've heard a lot of hunters complain about that when talking about guides.
-
Well also one has to take into account the clients ability vs the outfitter or guide. A client can come in say he is in shape or willing to go that extra effort it takes to get a quality animal but compared to the guide or outfitter whos job it is are they really. Sometimes that extra extra effort is what it takes. Also theres the aspect of a outfitter might not have a permit to outfit that quality area but he can hunt it having past knowledge or maybe he had a permit for that area in the past and wasnt able to secure it so he had to go to another area
-
If the guide isn't deliberately withholding an animal solely for.himself I don't have an issue with it.
If the guide is deliberately withholding an animal and also putting his clients in situations where they're happy with their experience I also don't have an issue with it.
-
Great bull. They grow some great bulls and deer in that area.

What an incredible animal! Such a cool picture of him
-
It’s a back yard bull lmao
-
Tough one.
-
Man was he beautiful. Look at his coat.
Not great that he was a neighborhood bull but as a guy that lives in Eatonville, I can tell you those big bulls are still hard to kill even if they do live by town.
-
Man, if that pic is legit, it definitely takes a little away from it for me. Thats just me though. You think whatever you want.

I agree ☝️

Look at it, it’s not the same bull.

Looks like the same bull to me :dunno:

6 points, the yard bull has 5.

It's not. The WR P&Y bull had something going on with his left hind leg, you can see it in this picture. It was swelled up like that all three years I photographed him. From what I was told, the P&Y bull was taken when he crossed the highway from state park land and was shot on private land where I had photographed him numerous times. No idea about the new B&C bull but since the chance of one guy drawing that tag twice is infinitesimal, I'm guessing it was a landowner tag. Which, by the way, is the only way a non-resident can hunt elk in that unit.
-
That is absolutely the yard bull that he is holding
:yeah:
Yup....100 percent.
-
Ok, I was comparing it to the P&Y bull but it does look like the B&C elk although it's hard to see that last point on the bull's left side. A lot of those elk wander back and forth from State and National park land to private or onto tribal land. I have a friend who lives down there and he has pics of 380-400 inch bulls in his yard.

I think you’re number five on the yard bull is perfectly inline with the other antler if you zoom in you can see it. I say it’s the same 100% just a little different angle on the antlers.

Oh man. You're not one of those kooks who only count the top points are you? :chuckle:
In my mind, there's no question the yard bull pic is the bull the guy shot.

First of all I’m not a kook, I was referring to the crown points. Which one isn’t visible in the live pic.
Second if you don’t have something constructive to say don’t post on my threads.
Make your own.
-
That's definitely the same bull.
-
Same bull, the top two points are there on both.
-
One of those rolling curbside garbage cans would make a great blind I imagine.
Joking... :chuckle: :chuckle:

I think I would hide in my hot tub and just peak the lid open when the time was right.
-
Looks like two different bulls to me. I'd settle for 2nd choice and forgo all the glory. :chuckle:
-
Pics may not be from the same year but you can even see the bends in the tips of the crown points on the right are exactly the same on both bulls.
-
No comment......🤔
I hate to criticize these trophy/record animals.
Cause honestly you'd never know the truth ,unless you see it with your own eyes.
Even after seeing it with your own eyes, you'll probably never hear the truth anyway.
I was bitting my tongue when it was first posted,I'm gonna continue bitting for now.
I can say nothing surprises me these days, sometimes it's on the up and up.
I also find it comical, when the truth does surface on some of these "record" animals.
Just every rumor in the book, legal to illegal, dead animals found and tagged.,it's just crazy sometimes. But better off saying nothing, benefit of the doubt.
Congrats to the hunter.
The Cartwright buck comes to mind, rumors run wild.
That's why I have no comment, cause you'll never know the truth.
-
The two posted side by side may share genetics but they for sure are different elk.
-
No way you get the same bend in the points from 2 different bulls with similar genetics. The bull in both picks has the same rear tail and the same bends at the top of his points. No way they are different. The angle of the pics are different so you have to look at what csn be matched besides number of point. All the tines are in the same formation and all the bends in the tips match up. 100% same bull
-
Those are 1000% the same bull.
-
Same bull, different yard though for sure... :chuckle:
-
Now that we have established it’s the same bull, have we decided what side of the irrigation canal he was shot on, and was he moved to a different field for “field as he lay photos.” :)
-
Everything from California is fake.
Just ask Pamela Anderson.
-
Ouch

That's not very constructive Bone.🤣

I wouldn’t say that’s very constructive either but wow that made me laugh!

They are for sure the same bull. What exactly are you seeing that makes you think they aren’t? When every tine is the exact same. Twins?
-
Same bull!
