Any Savage 1899/99 collectors here? Most of mine are pre-war. I have them in 25-35, 22 hi-power, 250-3000, several in 300 Savage, and 303 Savage. They were top shelf lever actions back in the day, great craftsmanship and on the edge of top performance. I reload for all of them except the 22 hi-power, real hard to find bullets for them, they are 228 diameter.

I killed my first two deer with a 250-3000.👍

Got one in .308 from a member a few years back. Absolutely love it. Am thinking of trying to snag another and have both my boys hunt with them.

I have one in 308 that I use every year. It has been hunted with every year in my family since the late 40's as far as I know. I've also thought about adding more. I'd like to find a 243.
Super nice collection there Chris57, btw.

Got one in 300 savage that I inherited from my dad. I killed my first deer with it back in the early 90s when it was still his. My plan for this year is for my wife to use it on her cow moose hunt.

They are great rifles, it's a shame they quit building them. Back in the day the options were endless, engraving, sights, barrel lengths wood, etc. There are some real beauty's out there!

Grabbed grandpas gun I inherited years back for my cow hunt. Love it. Probably get some more playing time next season.

Beautiful rifle and good job on the elk!

Great guns! i shot many deer with a 250-3000 and my brother started out with the 300. i love that 250. Brass workings and the shell counter was always a cool feature.

I have a 99EG in .250-3000. Made in the 50's. Bought it in 1972 for $125. The stock is cracked in the upper wrist right behind the receiver. I'm looking for someone who can repair it.

My girls and their first buck 20 years ago. .300 Savage
And yes, topped with a K4!

I’ve got a mid 70s 99A in .250, and a 1960 99F in .358(originally .300 but the bore was rusted bad so I shipped it to JES for a rebore).
If there’s a finer rifle for woods hunting, I’ve never handled it.
