Title: CVA optima V2 LR tapped hole for front sight
Post by: Remdawg on March 28, 2024, 05:34:44 AM
hello hunt-WA, i just recently got a CVA optima v2 lr but it doesn't have a hole on the barrel for a front sight, was wondering what size it needs to be to get tapped to, so i can put a front sight on it.

You should be able to put a 1x scope on it if you want?  Weird that it doesn't have a threaded hole already, have you called the manufacture and asked?

That model came with scope base only as it was designed for scopes.  I have one and it shoots great.  I would take it to a good gunsmith and have them tap it with the same thread pitch as the back holes on the receiver.   That should guarantee it will accept the William western precision site or any other that matter.
