i have a sony cybershot dsc p200, can these be hacked and made into a trail cam?
i tried a seaerch but nothin came up.

You'd be better off by buying a $49 dollar trail cam special.  Less time, effort and money.

Check with Mark at Yeti Cam.  He can tell you if he had a board for it, and he is extremely helpful.

Homebrews are are easy to build if you have any skills with tools.  Much smaller cameras when you are done and a fun project too.  Give it a shot, you may just like it.

I would have to respectfully disagree.  If your only concern is to have a camera hanging in the woods then sure.  But if you want multiple photos with amazing clarity then probably not.  Effort--Very little, Time--about 6 hours, Cost--about $130, Satisfaction of getting quality photos from something you built--Priceless.   :chuckle:

Sure if you want poor pictures then buy that $39 trail cam and see where it gets you.
