I just told the wife that the Alta tag I drew (Nov 25-30) involves me hunting over Thanksgiving, I told no matter what I'm hunting it because the hunt is only 6 days long.
Lets just say that went over like a lead balloon :chuckle:
-
ahhh grasshopper! some things are best said with wine and roses..congrats on the tag

What... she didn't offer to accompany you and eat a late Thanksgiving turkey dinner over the campfire? :chuckle:
Some women just don't get it, do they?
-
some people just dont get it do they Gobble? :chuckle:
"She says if I go fishing, she's leaving me....I'm gonna miss her"....

I know its easier said than done..but you gotta put the foot down early.
Anyone would tell you that my wife is as quiet as the dead, but when I told her that I won't draw montana and did. She said "i kinda wanna slap you right now" :chuckle: :chuckle: can't blame her, being outta work and all.

I extended an offer to go with me and make a "Camping" trip out of it, but for some reason she denied :dunno:
She fell into that trap very early, weve been married 17 yrs and on our honeymoon we went to Cannon beach. We were marraied on Sept 18th and it fell right on Muzzy elk season. She knew what an avid hunter I was and said after 4 days in Cannon beach "Do you want to go Elk hunting?" Iwas like NO WAY am I going to fall for that one and hear about it for the rest of my life, she insisted and said the campers all loaded up, let go it will be fun. That was the LAST hunting trip she ever went on....... Too hot, and boring for her.

Thanks Wea300mag for the video. I liked the ending where Jerry Springer says "It sounds like maybe you shouldn't be with anybody, you should be with a fish," and Brad Paisley says "Yeah I've thought about that." :chuckle: LMAO

I was having troubles with it working, so I erased it. Here it is again.

Tell her it is sort of like when you are getting frisky and she just happens to be having her friendly visit.... You will just have to take her up on that turkey dinner a bit later than normal. No big deal.
-
Now I know where Ice got his name. Always icing them.
-
Better let the state know due to hardship reasons Boneaddict will have to hunt your tag for you.

What? and lose the 2 points it took to draw :chuckle:
-
The only reason you drew was that I told 4,000 people they'd be out of their mines for putting in for that hunt this year with the wolves and all. :) I see you didn't get my memo. :chuckle:
-
No, it's probably because most married men won't apply for a hunt that falls on Thanksgiving. :chuckle:
-
Hey, I got a shotgun for my wife. And she loves it.
I might just have to go out there and help you out. That sounds like fun.

I have spent the last 10 thanksgivings in the field, I just take sliced turkey from the deli and the fixin's and go. I have been hunting myself for 3 yrs. this yr. makes 4. I would rather go hunting then a family dinner with all the family drama. Send you wife on her own little mini vacation,(something she likes to do) maybe that would help. Last yr. I spent 9 days in a camp trlr. in the grayback unit for thanksgiving. This yr. I'll be spending 9 days including thanksgiving in the unit I just got drawn for. Happy Turkey day:) hope it goes well for you.(mini vacation for the wife)

The deer season in WI falls over the week of Thanksgiving. Me and my pa missed a lot of Thanksgivings.
