Already put this on the Elk forum but wanted to hit this one as well....Thanks!
Has anyone had the Nock Point make new stings/cables for you? Both my bows need new strings and cables and I was thinking of having them make them. I like the shop and service they have provided but wanted to see if anyone has had this service.
Questions:
Did you have much stretch with the new stings? My biggest concern!
How do they compare with strings like Winners Choice?
Thanks in advance for the feedback!

I have one and it works great. I live about 40 miles away and like going there. They are really nice and friendly.

I got a free set of G5 stings and cables for my Guardian. I've been shooting them for 10 months and havn't had to touch a thing. :dunno: :dunno: So far so good :)

THEY MADE ONE FOR MY MATHEWS OUTBACK TWO YEARS AGO. IT SEEMED TO WORK AND HOLD UP WELL. WHEN I WENT TO GET IT RESTRUNG THE NEXT YEAR IN WENATCHEE THEY TESTED THE DRAW WEIGHT AND IT WAS 10 LBS UNDER WHAT IT WAS SET AT. THEY CHANGED THE STRING AND MEASURED THE OLD ONE. IT HAD STRETCHED OVER AN INCH. VERY COMMON WITH STRINGS THAT ARE NOT PRE STRETCHED OR MADE UNDER TENSION. I WOULDN'T HAVE THEM MAKE ONE. JUST MY :twocents:
SORRY, DIDN'T MEAN TO YELL JUST FORGOT TO TAKE CAPS LOCK OFF AND WHEN I NOTICED DIDN'T WANT TO START OVER.

Ya for the price I would stick with some name brand type string and cables. You shoud be able to pick up a decent set for about 80 bucks. I do all my own work so I shop around the net to get best deals.

I had almost similar problem ,like Jrebel have .I brought my strings and ask them to change on my Mathews ,somehow after they change bow came up 15 lb less in draw weight than it was before :dunno: ,and they told me my string is bad ( BS ) ,i took my bow to Van Winkle in everet ,and he fix it in 5 minutes .It was simple problem .Nock Point forgot to twist my string before setting it up.Bill is cool guy ,but he hire some newbies for work. So if i be you ,i buy winner choice and take it to everett .It is just my :twocents:

Always shoot in new strings. If they starch, remove it and twist it to the desired length. ;)
